went for my first hope oceania conference! would like to share some things i learnt!

1. The vision is the same! as well as the love in the church
I m blessed to serve in a movement like Hope. Vision to plant strong and biblical churches all over the world! by people who desire to love God and love people! through the power of the Holy Spirit. Felt very much loved by the community and i saw a few singaporeans who came from Hope singapore still serving fervently here as well. Pastor Ben, Samita, Evelyn and others as well. I got to know the sisters and brothers better in Hope Melbourne City Centre. Very encouraged by the spirit of the brothers and sisters all over the world. From Pastor PN to a simple person like Ting and Elis (my shepherd)... the hunger of the word and to know God more is growing

2. Belief in people
God taught me how he could use simple people. It was never about the person, but how the Holy Spirit could use people when they never thought possible. One pastor encouraged me alot who is Pastor Kwong Lie, how from young he could never speak well in Enlgish or CHinese and had fantastic results (Fs) for his exams... and no one believed in him, except his sister who was a serving christian and a God who brought him through. HE was a very shy person, never wanting to be a leader, but desire strongly to be used by God. In a previous church he was in when he was young, not even the pastors believed in him. but now he is a man who preaches in good english and with courage to more than 760 people in the camp. Never did he stumble but he shared with so much faith and conviction. pastor Kwong Lie now leads 240 people in Hope Johor and now helpiungthe indonesian churches as well. God is amazing. God hit on me that he can use anyone, as long as they are willing... it makes me remember about several people in my life and how God brought them through as they desire... Sharon, Shiyan.. and till now their life inspires me. Quiet people.. simple people but always want to serve God with the right motivation. Elis is a sister i am very encouraged by. was talking to her about some people in the group like Ting and Jasmine, and she could share so much about them and that she knows God can use them powerfully. Amazing... God teaches me, he can use anyone... he tests my area of judging. I prayed to God, that i will see with his eyes... that the church will grow with different people in the church... and that's the day i will work towards... God reminded me of how he brought me through from the first days of walking with him, to the difficult moments in my life in np and rp, but how everytime i feel that i failed him, he brought me through. I am grateful to the Lord. As i worshipped him, i felt so much that he is so much of a friend to me. that the name Lord seems so friendly, seems so inviting... I want to beleive in people when no one dares to believe! everyone can serve the Lord! serving God is one way to experience him!

3. he makes me understand that sometimes he allows things to happen in people's life because he wants them to learn more of him and more about them and how knowing him can make a difference in their life. Allow challenges and tought times for them to draw closer to God. i am learning to let go and know that i cannot always be there for everyone, but i know God can. ANd the wonders of prayer can supercede my presence. God is far more greater.

4. Learn more and seen Godly relationships
See so many pastors and their wifes serving God so fervently, and also some of the Brothers and sisters were attached in the camp. I am especailly encouraged by Ferry and Novy and how they chose to pursue Godly relationships and how they really set a strong example for many in the group as well. Recently i asked God about relationships, and why so many times, many of us are so tempted to go into one... not for expanding God's kingddom but just to meet our needs... Pastor Kwonglie shared that he will not go into one till he love God fully... and in the end God still send someone into his life, someone least expected to serve together with him. being secure and knowing that God is in control is important... haha... then we will not always worry about getting married or having a man to love us. At this conference, i see how couples serve God together and still love God fully as well as love each other dearly. very encouraged.

5. Prayed for direction. CAmpus ministries. Just want to serve God more... excited.. thinking about how to love more people and how to use the tools to see more people knowing and experiencing God! i learn to love, trust and worship the giver and not the gifts... God gave me a word bout my ministry... three actually... one is malachi where God ask me to test him in that area and see how much blessings he will give that it will overflow... He confirms his presence in all i do for him...

6. Draw closer to him... it is about him, never about the ministry. everything that comes is just from the outflow of the heart
